ADOPTED |
ASHEROur adorable pup, Asher, has ears with a mind of their own, permanently tipsy. He is part of an accidental litter of puppies surrendered by owners who “forgot” to have their adult dogs spayed/neutered. Asher and his siblings were just eight weeks old when they joined our Rescue in Canterbury, Connecticut, in early April. He is a sweet boy who has navigated the rescue process with ease. |
We were curious about Asher's breed mix and had DNA tested. He is a formidable double dose of Coonhound: Treeing Walker and Bluetick, as well as a healthy mix of Husky, German Shepherd with a smidge of Aussie Cattle Dog for comic relief. Size projected to be 50-80 lbs. |
Nineteen weeks old, Asher is ready for his new home. He is a friendly boy who loves all people, and other dogs. He would thrive in a multi-dog home with other gentle, playful dogs, and we think he would be fine with cats. |

As a working breed mix, Asher needs a good deal of exercise and mental stimulation to maintain good behavior. He does not have over the top puppy energy, but his Coonhound roots require some leisurely "sniff the roses" daily walks. Asher would be an excellent choice for an experienced puppy-savvy adopter, willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization. He would do well with an active couple or family with older kids, who can play gently with a young dog. |
So far we have seen an loving, gentle personality in Asher, and we seek an adopter willing to raise him as a Canine Good Citizen. He is in excellent health and has fully vaccinated. If you are interested in Asher, please write to Angelsfrgod@aol.com or call/text Denise at 860-908-9738 for more info. |
