LITTLE BEAROur Little Bear is searching for the last great love of his life. Ten years old, he is a wise soul, but bewildered, because his beloved owner can no longer care for him. Bear's special person entered an assisted living facility, and her family asked for our help in finding him a glorious home and companion for his golden years. |
Bear has been deeply loved and meticulously cared for, and it shows in his health and temperament. He is in fantastic shape for his age, and, in fact our vet thought he was about six or seven years old. Bear has just had a full dental procedure and vet exam; he has many good quality of life years to share with his new family. |

Bear is a standard American Eskimo Dog. He has a lean, leggy frame and weighs 32 pounds. He is sporting the summer buzz cut that some Eskie owners mistakenly think keeps their dog more comfortable in summer. Actually, the Eskie coat serves as personal thermostat to keep the dog cool and sun-protected in summer, and warm in winter. Bear's lush, beautiful coat is well on its way back to its former glory. |
| Bear has an outstanding temperment and has been extremely well socialized. He is friendly to all, and would be the ideal addition to a multi-dog or cat home, and a perfect companion to another older dog, who may have recently lost a beloved housemate. Bear would would fit in anywhere. |  |

Bear has excellent house manners and is house trained and crate trained. Adopters should be prepared to troubleshoot the occasional accident that may occur during his transition to a new routine. Bear is a calm car traveler, and enjoys his car rides as much as his leisurely leash walks. He is not much of a barker, and could easily adjust to apartment or house living. |
