CASEY

Lil' Casey has a big old chip on her shoulder. It is painfully obvious that nobody has ever told this darling little Diva, "NO,." in all her six years. Casey is sporting a sublime case of "small dog syndrome", that over-confident, full of themselves quality we love in our Alpha Divas. We also recognize that small dogs need a dose of humility...and obedience training... to develop good canine citizenship.

Casey's adopters will need to be saavy Shih Zhu people, who can safely avoid the trap of over spoiling her. She needs clear cut leadership, discipline and adequate exercise, including at least two thirty minute, brisk leash walks to keep her attitude in check.

Shih Zhu lovers will find Casey to be a great example of the breed. She has a sparkling personality, once she gains your trust, but that trust gaining process will require patience. Casey is slow to warm up, but once she does, she will be a wonderful companion, who enjoys your company, and yet, still likes her alone time. Casey has done well with the other dogs in her active foster home, and would probably do fine with a gutsy cat, but we want to steer clear of small children who might not have the patience to allow Casey her warm up time.

Casey was not cared for well, and her deluxe coat was shaved to the skin to rid it of mats. She is in good health, but could stand to lose a couple of pounds. Casey has a healthy appetite, and adopters should resist over-feeding and maintain some strict nutritional guidelines that include a diet of high quality kibble, appropriate supplements and Omega fats to ensure longevity.

Casey has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, and bordatella. She has tested negative for heartworm/lyme/earlichia/anaplasmosis, and is microchipped and de-wormed.
