CINDY

Gorgeous Cindy is a lightning flash of energy. Sight Hound enthusiasts will appreciate the lean, athletic physique and high energy level that these glorious dogs are famous for. Cindy seems to be a blend of Whippet and the exotic Ibizian Hound.

Only eight months old, she is full grown, but fairly underweight at 30 pounds. We'd like to see her put on about five to seven pounds and maintain that healthy weight. Her short white coat is extremely easy to maintain, although the delicate pink skin will require some sun protection in peak summer months.

The key to success with Cindy is exercise. This sweet natured girl is supercharged and would do best with an active single, couple or family with older kids, who can provide a good amount of exercise. A tired Cindy is a happy Cindy. If underexercised, Cindy will surely find mischief. As a young pup, she has had no obedience work, and adopters should prepare for the antics of a high energy puppy, who loves to play.

As a Sight Hound, Cindy can be a bit distracted on leash, and a challenge to train off leash. We'd like to see her in the hands of seasoned Sight Hound folks who understand their nuances and quirks.

Cindy has an outstanding temperment, and loves all people and other dogs. She is a vigorous, rambunctious playmate who may well overwhelm toddlers, petite dogs or cats. Cindy is a natural athlete who would make an ideal running or hiking companion, and would surely be the star of any agility competition.

Cindy needs some work on housemanners and basic obedience. She is nearly housetrained, but can be fussy in her crate when she longs to join family action. She is much more compliant with the rigors of obedience work after she has had her fill of running and playing.

Cindy is in excellent health and will be spayed before adoption. She has been vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper and bordatella. She has been microchipped and de-wormed and has tested negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.
