FOXHOUND PUPPY LITTER

There are three beautiful puppies in Oour Foxhound litter of 10 week old orphans that have just joined our Connecticut Rescue.

All the pups in this litter have gentle temperaments and playful, funny personalities.  Despite the chaotic shelter process, these pups have weathered the storm and show no obvious signs of trauma or neglect. 

It appears that the pups’ owner bred her unaltered adult housemates, and then offloaded the unsold puppies to a high kill rural North Carolina Shelter.  Luckily, we were able to transport them to our place in Canterbury, Connecticut. 

The puppies are clearly Hounds, a likely mix of Foxhound and Treeing Walker Coonhound. The weight range is projected at 40 to 60 pounds and their scent hound roots suggest that adopters should be prepared to provide a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. 

Any of these pups would be an excellent choice for a savvy Hound adopter, willing to commit to ongoing training and socialization. They have  taken well to basic puppy Positive Reinforcement training techniques, and seems to enjoy the learning process. We seek adopters willing to raise them as  Canine Good Citizens.  

Any of these pups could easily join a multi-dog home with older, playful dogs tolerant of puppy energy. They would thrive with an active single, couple or family with older kids who have been taught to be gentle with young dogs. 

All puppies are in excellent health, fully vaccinated and dewormed.
