FRANCOTiny Franco is a delightful little gremlin who will light up the life of an avid Chihuahua fancier. This feisty, petite breed is not for everyone, but Chi lovers clamor for their huge personalities, as well as their quirks, and Franco will not disappoint.

Just six pounds, Franco has the total Chi look, from the tiny apple shaped noggin to the fawny tan color and big ol' bug eyes. His tiny nose turns up at the tip and gives him quite the delicate profile. He scores a big 10 on the cuteness scale! |
| Only three years old, Franco came to our rescue from a chaotic animal control facility, where his owners had dumped him because they could not afford his care. Franco's delicate sensibilities were traumatized as he vehemently objected to all staff attempts to poke and prod. He did not make a single friend in the shelter, and, finally, his only shot was to come to us. |  |

Franco's reputation preceded him, and we were expecting to meet a complete basket case. We were gobsmacked when we received kisses right off the bat, from a very, very grateful little guy. Owner surrendered dogs typically have a hard time navigating the rescue process, but Franco adjusted nicely once he was away from the shelter. In foster care, he bonded beautifully with his foster family, and readily joined the family dog pack. |
| Franco is an affectionate squirt, who loves to snuggle under covers. He is the consummate lap dog, and would be the ideal companion for the laid back single, or couple, with that Chihuahua sense of humor. Franco could also join a relaxed family lifestyle with older kids, who can be gentle with tiny dogs. We think that toddlers would overwhelm Franco, but he has enjoyed the attentions of the older boy in his foster home. |  |

Franco seems to enjoy pack life, and thrives on the companionship of other dogs. He could easily join a multi-dog home with other small dogs. We have not had him around cats, but he would most likely coexist nicely. |
| Franco is in good health and has been neutered. He has been vaccinated for rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo and parainfluenza). He has had the 4dx test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. He has been microchipped and dewormed.
