| Jack Daniels would be a good choice for a novice JRT owner. He is spirited, but does not have the over the top energy that some JRTs display. Our "JD" is a beautiful boy, with the full blown Jack Russell stance, proud and erect. His markings are spectacular and he could be the poster boy for the breed, albeit a bit underweight from the stress of the shelter and rescue process. He should probably gain a couple pounds to be at ideal weight. |  |

JD is a peace loving boy, and has steered clear of his more randy foster housemates. He loves to relax in his crate and stay above the hub bub of daily foster life. He has an extremely friendly nature and has been a joy to have around. We'd like to see him enjoy his golden years with a moderately active family, with another, older, well mannered dog, who would not torture him with excessive play. JD would do well with a couple of brisk leash walks each day and would love to be part of the family home activities. |
JD is in good health, and we are finalizing his vet work. He is currently vaccinated for rabies, parvo/distemper, bordatella and is microchipped and de-wormed. He has tested negative for heartworm/lyme/earlichia/anaplasmosis and is on appropriate prevention. He will be neutered in the near future, and will have a senior blood panel completed which will be available to the adopter's vet. Also, we plan to have a small growth removed from his eyelid. We expect this vet work to be completed by early March, and would consider a "foster to adopt" scenario with the right adopter.
