JUNO

Lovely Juno recently came to stay with us, when her loving owner fell on hard times, losing her job and home. Unsure of her next move in life, Juno's owner no longer had a stable home to offer her, and thought it best to let us find her a loving, family better equipped to care for her. It was a sad surrender, to be sure, and tears were flowing!

Juno is a striking mix of standard American Eskimo Dog and Cattle Dog. She is a leggy, sturdy girl, weighing about 40 pounds. Juno's Eskie heritage is unmistakeable in her body structure, plume tail and pantaloons. Her beautiful coat has a slight wave to it, and she is sportin' caramel colored patchs. Her look is unique!

Juno has been well cared for, and well socialized. She is a sweet, friendly girl, who appears timid on first approach, but after a few days, she warms up to become the belle of the ball. We expected Juno to be frightened and nervous at her abrupt transition, and were pleased that she came out of her shell so quickly. She was raised with another dog, so she quickly blended into pack life, with excellent doggie manners.

Juno would be a great choice for a moderately active single or couple who enjoy lots of doggie companionship. She may be unnerved by the attentions of toddlers, but we think she is gentle enough to coexist with cats. Juno needs a good deal of TLC and affection from her family, and she gives as good as she gets. Juno is a spirited girl, but we wouldn't describe her as high energy. A couple of brisk leash walks each day, along with playtime, will keep Juno happy. She loves car travel and is always ready to pick up and go for a big car ride.

Six years old, Juno is in good health and is spayed. She is a true survivor with a rugged constitution and has sailed through some serious injuries resulting from a car accident early in her life. Her energy and mobility are excellent. Juno has been vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, and has tested negative for heartworm, lyme, Earlichia and anaplasmosis.
