LINALovely Lina is the latest addition to our rescue. This pint sized Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix is a shy beauty, betrayed by owners who dumped her in the city pound when they moved to a dog unfriendly locale. |
| Lina did not fare well in the harsh shelter environment. Her behavior evaluations revealed a shy, fearful girl, suspicious of human touch. At our first meeting, Lina seemed terrified, and she cowered in the corner for the first few days. After observing our positive interactions with other dogs, Lina finally was able to relax and settle into her new foster home. | ![]() |

Despite having been an only dog, and somewhat unsocialized, Lina has held her own among a wacky group of foster and resident dogs. She takes her cue from more confident dogs, and is quite content to follow the leader. Lina could easily join a multi-dog home, and, in fact, other dogs might help ease Lina's transition, and help build her confidence. We have not tested her with cats, but she is extremely timid and gentle. We think she could easily assimilate into a dog savvy feline home. |
| Lina takes some time to warm to strangers, so her adoption meeting will not be a Disney moment. Adopters should have appropriate expectations, and give her space at first meeting. She would be a great choice for the moderately active single or couple who enjoy helping a rescue dog blossom. She is very skittish at first, so her adoption meeting will require a leap of faith and the patience to give her a few days to come out of her shell. | ![]() |

Once Lina gets comfy, she is a well behaved gem! She is extremely loving and affectionate to her people. Lina has excellent house manners, and is house and crate trained. She will become fussy in the crate if ignored for hours on end. Lina loves car rides, and is quite a congenial passenger. She is not reactive to usual triggers of gas and toll attendants. |
| Lina is in good health at about 3 years old. She is a petite girl, although slightly underweight at 22 pounds. She should fill out nicely to about 28 pounds. Lina is spayed, and vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper and bordatella. She has been microchipped and de-wormed and has tested negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. If you are interested in Lina, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com for an adoption application or call Denise at 720-903-0636 for more info. | ![]() |
