MAGGIE MAYadopted!Maggie May is an absolute doll. This pint size miniature Eskie has a larger than life personality. She loves everyone and has charmed us into spoiling her rotten! However, we do not spoil her with food, because our beloved Maggie May would be a plus size girl if we left it up to her. Maggie weighs about 18 pounds, having packed on a pound or two of excess baggage, and so, we want to find a new family for her that will love her to pieces without feeding her fried chicken. |

Maggie is part of the Utica Six, dogs that we rescued in May from a half-assed breeding operation in New York, and it is clear that this sweet girl had spent her five years birthin' babies. And, believe me, she is sick of it. Maggie wants to be the baby now. She wants to play and play and play, so if another dog is in her future family, all the better. |
| Since Spring, Maggie has been in an adopted home of our choosing...but even we are not mind readers when it comes to marital conflict...because in the past four months the adoptive family has disintegrated, leaving Maggie in rescue again. And her new buddy Kimo came with her. |
Maggie, red bandana, had a great time running with Kimo. |

Even more dismaying, was the level of neglect that we observed when we retrieved Maggie and Kimo. Both dogs had flea issues...and rampant flea dermatitis that has discolored their coats and caused skin issues. But...we were absolutely amazed at how flea dermatitis clears up once the fleas are gone....and so, Maggie has been undergoing a skin rejuvenation program which has restored some of her former glory. Continued work on this front is necessary to restore her coat to its full luster. And, of course, continued flea and tick protection is essential. |
| Maggie May is a one in a million Eskie. Her temperament is wonderful, and she is atypical in her appreciation of the interests of strangers. She has done very well with older children, although we don't want to trouble her with toddlers. She has lived with cats and does fine with them, and she is absolutely wonderful with other dogs. |
Maggie loves to play with Irma. |

Maggie May is five years old, in excellent health, spayed, and up to date on routine vaccinations. She is housetrained and crate trained, but needs some work on the leash. She rides beautifully in the car and is a constant and loyal companion. If you are interested in her, please call Denise at 617-216-9483. |
