MAXWELL

Our little Maxwell is a gem. He recently re-joined our American Eskimo Dog rescue after one year, because his adopter has had a dramatic lifestyle change and can no longer keep him. Last year, Maxwell joined our Rescue with his house mate, Martini, when a friend's niece found herself in dire straits and needed our help to keep her dogs out of the shelter. Max is an eight year old purebred Silky Terrier, who weighs in at about 12 pounds. He is in excellent health and has been well cared for and loved.

Max has settled in beautifully and is not demonstrating any of the behavior quirks that we were told existed. He is calm and quiet...although he did not think too much of the cats in his foster home. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and is friendly to people and children. This boy rides well in the car and is an excellent companion dog. Max needs reinforcement on proper leash walking and, also, some attention paid to house training since his former owner allowed indoor use of training pads. Max is crate trained, and we are using the belly band with great success.
