MYLAOur Myla is an abandoned soul, who longs for her own person. Five years old, this statuesque Dalmation, Pointer mix was surrendered by careless owners, after a spat with the family cat. Myla is not a fan of the Feline species. Myla made great friends at the shelter, and became quite the Facebook celebrity. She earned a good behavior rating from the shelter vet and staff, and quickly became a volunteer favorite. When Myla reached the end of her time, and faced certain euthanasia, her Facebook fans rallied on her behalf and coaxed an invitation out of us to join our rescue. |

Myla had a serious upper respiratory infection when she came to us, so she seemed lethargic and depressed at first meeting. Slowly, as she began to feel better, Myla emerged from her shell. She has blossomed into a loving girl who has won our hearts. Myla craves human contact and touch, and would be a fantastic companion dog. |
| Myla could easily join a multi-dog home, with calm, well socialized dogs. She would do well with an active single or couple, who have the time to give her the attention she needs. Myla is a medium energy dog, and needs a moderate amount of exercise each day, including a couple of brisk leash walks and lots of focused playtime. |  |

Myla's owners neglected her obedience training, but we have found her eager to please and easy to train. She has grasped the basics, and is well on the way toward Canine Good Citizenship. We recommend that Myla's adopters continue to develop her tremendous potential. |
Myla is in excellent health and is at an ideal weight of 48 pounds. Myla has been a spayed and is vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, bordatella and canine influenza. She has been microchipped and de-wormed and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.
