ADOPTED

PILGRIM

Lovable Pilgrim has that all American, Heinz 57 Scamp look that could land him the lead in the next Disney live action movie. He has a real "leading man" personality. He came to us from a suburban shelter, surrendered by owners who were clearly not Terrier folks! Shelter contacts described Pilgrim as a Maltese, but as soon as we met him we knew that he was Terrier, through and through.

There is a kind of Terrier charm that attracts folks to these impish characters, who have an infectious tenacity and energy. It seems to us that Pilgrim has a good dose of West Highland Terrier in him, and perhaps a splash of Norfolk. Pilgrim is a lean and athletic dog, and it would not surprise us if he had a scoche of Miniature Poodle in his makeup, to explain the leggy stance and floppy ears. His cream colored coat has tan markings, and while he has been the victim of a terrible haircut, his coat is wavy and soft to the touch. We have left his coat to grow out so that adopters can choose his next look.

Pilgrim loves to be in the thick of the action, and would thrive in the busy lifestyle of an active single or couple. He is a confident little guy, with a sometimes bossy nature, and he's not a good fit for families with small children or cats. He could easily join a multi-dog home with other fun loving, energetic scamps. He loves to play, and can hold his own with a diverse dog pack.

Pilgrim has good house manners, and is generally friendly to strangers. He rides well in the car, and is the kind of companion that you can take just about anywhere. He is a happy-go-lucky spirit, that adds charm and comic relief to just about any situation. Pilgrim is house trained and crate trained, however adopters will need to be patient, and troubleshoot the occasional accident that may occur during his transition to a new home.

Pilgrim three years old, in excellent health, and has been neutered. He has been vaccinated for rabies and DA2PP (distemper, adrenovirus, parvo and parainfluenza). He has had the 4dx test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. He has been dewormed. If you are interested in Pilgrim, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com or call Denise at 720-903-0636 for more info.
