ADOPTED

PRINCESS

Our little Princess is a peach of a girl, who had the bum luck in life to wind up with owners who dumped her, at the age of nine, into City Animal Control, where her fate was up for grabs. All things considered, Princess fared pretty well in the chaotic process, and managed to maintain an even keel, when many owner surrendered rescue dogs go into a full blown panic at such a betrayal.

Princess is a cuddly little girl, once she warms up, and is allowed to give strangers the old snifferoo. She would be the ideal companion for a senior or adult couple with another senior dog, who can open their hearts and homes to another gentle senior.

Adopting a senior dog certainly takes a special kind of person, as well as a leap of faith. We have taken much of the guesswork out of Princess's health status by having our vet examine her and give her a clean bill of health. Prinnie is in great shape and her coat is lustrous and silky. As a Chihuahua, she has a hearty constitition, and is at an ideal weight of 8 pounds. She has had dentistry in her former life and lost many teeth. She has two healthy teeth left, and none of the horrific dental infection that we sometimes see in an older dog.

Prinnie has a lot of livin' left to do, and longs for the warm lap of a compassionate dog lover who needs all the love she has to give. She has excellent house manners, and is house trained and paper trained. Adopters should forgive the occasional accident that may occur as she adapts to her new surroundings and potty routine.

Princess is in good health and has been spayed. She has been vaccinated for rabies, DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo and parainfluenza), and has been boostered as needed. She has had the 4dx test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. She has been dewormed and microchipped.
