ROSCOEOur dynamic Roscoe is a dream come true for the active family of seasoned Shepherd lovers. He appears to be a Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd Mix, a double dose of rugged herding dog, with many of the facial and structural characteristics of both breeds. He has stunning Black and Tan markings, with a slight wave to his coat. Roscoe is medium sized dog, weighing only 43 pounds, yet has the presence and personality of a much larger dog. Roscoe was just 11 months old when his owners abandoned him in a large, harsh animal control facility, where he was destined for the euthanasia list, once he caught a mild case of kennel cough. We invited Roscoe to join our rescue so that he could chill out in the country and enjoy some puppy time before moving on to his forever home . |
| Roscoe is an exhuberant youngster, who has been bounced around a bit in his short life, and he has not had the benefit of much structure or obedience work. He is an extremely good natured boy, and loves absolutely everyone, but he would not be the best choice for homes with extremely young children, because his puppy joie de vivre would most likely knock the unsuspecting toddler right off his feet. He is great with other dogs, and appears to be fine with cats. |  |

Roscoe is a natural for any kind of obedience work. He is extremely responsive to leadership and positive reinforcement techniques, and will be the star of any
formal training program. Roscoe has good house manners, and is house trained and crate trained, although we expect adopters to troubleshoot the occasional
accident that will inevitably occur during his transition to a new routine. Roscoe is in excellent health and has been neutered. He has been vaccinated for rabies, DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo and parainfluenza). He has had the 4snap test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.
