ADOPTED

ROXANNE

Our impish little Roxanne is a glorious six pound Miniature Pinscher, surrendered by her owners to a large Animal Control facility, where she languished in a sluggish adoption program until she was spotted by one of our Foster Moms.  We snapped her up immediately and have been fighting the urge to adopt her ourselves!!!!

But alas, we have decided that Roxanne  deserves her own home, and special person, with whom she can bond and be the star of the show.  There hasn't been a single day when Roxanne hasn't brought chuckles and grins to our faces.   She is a delightful character, a young six years old, she is quite the energetic little Diva.

Roxanne loves action, and thrives as the center of attention in any situation.  She can be shy at first meeting strangers, but will warm quickly and snuggle up for hugs and kisses.  She could easily join a Min Pin savvy single, couple or family, with other dogs and older kids, who will be gentle with a tiny dog.  Toddlers would likely overwhelm her.  We have not tested Roxanne with cats, but she is good natured enough to coexist with the proper introduction.

Roxanne is typical Min Pin, and breed fanciers will be thrilled with her antics.  She is quite the athelete, and has no inhibition at all about jumping onto the sofa or bed to stay near her person.  Roxanne has a lean physique, and one heck of a metabolism, because she's a complete chowhound and yet manages to keep her girlish figure.  Roxanne could stand to put on a 1/2 pound or so, but should be kept at a lean weight to minimize pressure on her tiny joints.  Min Pins have great longevity if kept at goal weight and exercised properly.  Roxanne would do well with at least two brisk leash walks each day.

Roxanne has great house manners, and is house and paper trained.  She will stay quietly in her crate for reasonable periods of time, but will become fussy if ignored for too long. Roxanne is the ideal size for apartment life, and is tiny enough to travel anywhere. She's good in the car, and will easily fit into an airline approved Sherpa bag.

Roxanne is in excellent health and has been spayed.  She has been vaccinated for rabies and DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo and parainfluenza). She has had the 4snap test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis.
