TIMMY

Sweet Timmy is a feisty, bustling ball of energy who needs an action packed lifestyle to be happy and stay out of trouble. He is NOT your Grandma's Bichon Frise!

Just three years old, this delightful scamp had hit rock bottom in life, and was roaming the mean city streets...a homeless, friendless urchin. He was picked up by Animal Control Officers after he was spotted darting in and out of traffic in a busy intersection.

Timmy seemed to weather the daunting shelter process pretty well, and was given rave reviews by everyone he met, even the vet staff, who can sometimes see a dog's worst side. As a staff and volunteer favorite, Timmy was brought to our attention, and we jumped at the chance to give Timmy a new life.

Timmy has been a most spirited contributor to his foster home and has held his own among quite a diverse pack. He would do well in an active home with an experienced dog person or couple, who can commit to his exercise and training needs. Timmy is a high energy little pipsqueak, who needs at least a couple of brisk leash walks, if not a healthy paced run or hike each day.

Timmy's obedience training has been sorely neglected, and he is behind the learning curve in house manners. He is house trained and crate trained, although adopters should expect a couple marking incidents as Timmy adjusts to his new routine. He is still quite puppyish, and adopters should be prepared to troubleshoot basic puppy behaviors, and puppyproof the homestead.

Timmy has responded beautifully to the obedience basics that we have begun in foster care, and has shown tremendous potential. He is both praise and treat motivated, so his ongoing training should be quite enjoyable.

Timmy could easily join a multi-dog home with high energy, well socialized dogs, but, he would overwhelm shy or senior dogs and cats or young children with his puppy va va va voom.

Timmy is in excellent health and is at an ideal weight of 13 pounds. He is neutered. He is vaccinated for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. If you are interested in Timmy, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com for an adoption application or call Denise at 720-903-0636 for more info.
