WILLY

Our Willy is a darling, sweet boy. At the age of six, he found himself on the run as a stray in Brooklyn. He was in remarkably good shape, and obviously someone's pet, but, alas, nobody claimed him, and so he made his way into our rescue group.

Willy has charmed everyone! He is a bit on the shy side at first, but warms up quickly and shows absolute devotion to his person. He has a gentle, sweet temperament, and can be calm and laid back -- not necessarily what you'd expect in an Eskie! Savvy Eskie people will find this beautiful boy a snap to handle. He is a standard Eskie, and weighs about 27 pounds. He could stand to gain a few pounds and fill out a bit. Willy is in excellent health -- he is neutered, up to date on routine shots, and heartworm negative.

He is housetrained and crate trained, although, adopters should expect some accidents to occur in the transition process. Willy is great with other dogs and cats, and requires a minimum of 30 minutes vigorous leash walking a day. He has not yet responded to his shelter name, "Willy," and has not had the benefit of much formal training. Willy is a joy to leash walk, and very eager to please and learn. He is a fantastic car passenger and has all around good house manners. In the right hands, Willy will blossom in no time.
