We are truly humbled by the outpouring of good wishes and donations for our Lady, who just underwent some pretty tricky surgery to repair her broken leg. Please read more here...

LADY

Our lil' Lady is quite a lucky girl.  When her owner moved to Florida, she left Lady in the custody of her Neanderthal Son.  This isn't the lucky part.  In turn, the Neanderthal Son pitched Lady across the room and broke her leg....allegedly in self defense.  Of course, you can see how a 250 pound man would need to defend himself against an 18 pound Lady.  Still, this is not the lucky part.

Once, the son noticed Lady limping, he dumped her in an animal shelter, reporting her as a stray...ah, the Lady's luck turns.  The shelter manager and Animal Control officer made sure that Lady received vet care and traced her back to the guy who dumped her.  Animal Control then coerced the brute to sign Lady over to the shelter so that we could take her into our foster home system and provide vet care.

Now, we have Lady situated in foster care, where she is relaxing and proving herself to be a pure joy.  She has been fully vaccinated, and spayed. Under the supervision of our orthopedic vet, her prognosis should be excellent. If we are able to provide the surgery she needs, she should not be hampered in the future by her injury. Lady is a delightful dog, with loads of personality and charm.  She is good with most people...who refrain from bodily abuse and respect her space...and enjoys the company of other dogs.  She will be a wonderful addition to an Eskie savvy adopter who can proved the exercise and discipline that this breed needs.
